Live not in Yesterday
Do not be despondent my little one
for memories will always light the way
of happy times and sometimes sad
but memories none the same...
i called upon you once upon a time
and you answered with your heart
nothing wrong in feeling close
to someone you once loved
life is funny in a way
that it never works our way
but all we can do is
plod on and try
work with what we have
our lot in life is different and
paths are sometimes hidden
but fear not for all is not lost
you will find your way.
I think of happy times captured in a frame
a photo of a different life
when we were one and same.
